Patricia L. Floyd

Patricia L. Floyd, 54, of Springfield, died at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital. Patricia was born on June 1, 1953 in White Hall, the daughter of Roy and Erna Margaret Hennenberg Rice. She married Brian S. Floyd on April 1, 1972 in Manchester, IL. She was a graduate of Winchester High School and a member of Calvary Temple Church in Springfield. She was employed at Duff Reality and Speedway and at Wal-Mart as a sales associate from 1990 until the time of her death. She always placed family first, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, flower gardening and going to the Boat. She was preceded in death by two sons: Mathew and Patrick and her father, Roy Rice. Surviving is her husband, Brian S. Floyd of Springfield; two sons: Brian H. Floyd of Sherman and Trenton D. (wife, Erica) Floyd of Springfield; two daughters: Jennifer L. (husband, James) Ford and Stephanie A. Floyd all of Springfield; nine grandchildren: Dalton, Calvin, Dax, Kameron, Caitlyn, Samuel, Connor, Justess and Gianna; mother, Margaret Wald of Carrollton; two brothers: Mike (wife, Dallas) Rice of Orlando, FL and Earl Rice of Carrollton; two sisters: Nancy (husband, George) Collins of Aransas Pass, TX and Sally (husband, Vick) Ralston of Corpus Christi, TX; two aunts, three uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family welcomes friends to visit from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the visitation. Graveside Ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2007 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Scott Brindley officiating.
