She was born on June 26, 1934 in Bloomington, IN, the daughter of the late Earl and Francis (Baugh) Lanam. She married Ralph Nieland and he preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Benjamin B. Jones in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 2013.
Patricia worked as a nursing instructor at Capitol Area Career Center in Springfield for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and looking at Facebook.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Tami Foster, Jayne (husband Dan) Krug, and Sue Regan, all of Springfield; 7 grandchildren, Tony (wife Sara) Reuther, Nick (wife Tracey) Foster, Amber (husband Tyler) Harris, Zak (wife Kate) Krug, Anna (husband Jake) Brandon, Mary Regan, and Patrick Regan; 4 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jaxson, Bryce, and Crosby; and 3 sisters, Barbara Daniels, Ann Dyer, and Sue May, all of Bloomington, IN.
Besides her parents and both of her husbands, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson Xander.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where a memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 at 10:30 am. Inurnment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Capitol Area School of Practical Nursing.
