Mike, Steve and Family- Paul was our family patriarch and was the oldest of my father's cousins.  He was the sweetest soul and always greeted people with great kindness and a smile. He will be truly missed by those he shared life with. Some of the comments describe Paul as one of the good guys... that is so true. So sorry I could not make the trip. Love to all of your family. As you looked down on us today, I hope you were as pleased with everything as we were.  We miss you already.  It was a good day to pay honor to a good man.  May you rest in peace.

Mike and Steven and the rest of your families:Bruce and I thought about you all today as we knew you were at the funeral of your dad.  Paul was my first cousin.  Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you today and in the days to come.  We wish we could have been there but family commitments here, etc., didn't make it possible.  We live in Kansas and it would have been about an 8-10 hour drive.

Paul and I have been friends for 61 years.  We were in the Navy together on the USS Watts, DD567, for three and a half years.  We had some great times together and became best friends.  We have stayed in touch through the years, visiting when possible and talking on the phone often.  We had reunions with two other shipmates, Bill Allen and Jim Boyer and our wives, on numerous occasions.  Great fun!  Paul was "genuine"...the real thing...and I always knew I could count on him whenever I needed him.

P.F., you have been a wonderful friend, and we will miss you greatly.  We send our love and deepest sympathy to your family.

Although I did not know Paul, I've known his son Mike as both a co-worker and friend for many years. Over the years, I've also been fortunate to get to know many others within the Brady family. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Bradys and their extended family as they go through this difficult time.

In 1970 I went to work for IBT reporting to Paul and had no idea what a profound effect that would have on my life.  After 50 plus year of being a salesman, sales manager, sales trainer, and sales consultant, I've come to realize working for Paul, with help from Allen Armstrong and Don Colbert, was (at that time) the best sale training program available on earth.   Paul's sincere desire for me to be the best I could be was rare.  He taught with class, consideration, humor, and style.
I remember a joint sales call to sell a new phone system to the Springfield Airport.  During my presentation the prospect had the audacity to interrupt and ask if we could provide the sets in brown.  I said yes we could and continued selling for another 10 minutes then closed the sale and we left.  After we got in the car to leave Paul asked, “Doug, what would have happened if when he asked if you could provide the sets in brown you had said,  Would you like them in brown?  What a considerate way to teach me to listen.
I will forever be thankful for having had Paul as a mentor, friend, and confidant.  He was, in my mind, the best of all three.

Paul and I worked together at the telephone company and have loosely kept together over the years. You all will probably remember me and my wife Gerry.
We want you to know that our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and may the Lord bless you.

Paul was one of my first and best bosses when I worked at Illinois Bell.  I was 17 when I started working in the Marketing Department.  Paul wasn't just a boss; he was like a protective father and guidance counselor to a shy, naive teenager.  Whenever I saw him over the years, I would give him a hug and always enjoyed talking with him.  He was one of the "good guys".

My thoughts and prayers are with all The Brady's today. Deepest sympathy and love from Colorado.

Paul was my Uncle.  Along with my Father and Grandfather, his role in my life was to strongly influence and shape my understanding of what it took to mature as a MAN in this world.  Great sense of Humor.....always a quick smile and laugh....dedication to family....doing the right thing....earn the respect of others.   I could list so much more.  Paul was the first of my elders to treat me as an adult.....as an equal.  I've never forgotten that.  He may have reached his 80's, but his Spirit was still young.  We have lost one of the genuinely "good guys".  Honor him.  Do not let his memory pass.         MC
