Paul William Harrison

Paul was born on August 15, 1977, in Peoria, IL, the son of William and Janet (Rasmus) Harrison. He married Gretchen Hornickel in 2008, in Stanford, IL.

Paul graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL, and was pursuing a degree in social work at Colorado Tech University. He was an active member of Cherry Hills Church and an avid Cubs fan. Paul lived for spending time with his family, especially watching his children in sports and theatre. He referred to himself as their number one fan. Paul also loved grilling and cooking. He never met a stranger and loved to know more about other people and sharing Gods love with others.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Elsa Rasmus; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Elinor Munson; and paternal grandfather, William Harrison.

Paul is survived by his wife, Gretchen Harrison; seven children, Katherine "Connor," Grace, Alex, Corbin, DeQuan, Xavier, and Zameria, all of Springfield; parents, Bill and Janet Harrison of Creve Coeur; siblings, Tori (husband, Mark) Lareau of Normal, IL, and Scott (wife, Lindsay) Harrison of Mackinaw, IL; two nieces; seven nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Ceremony: 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Cherry Hills Church, 2125 Woodside Rd., Springfield, with Pastor Brian Wilmarth officiating. Family will receive friends following the ceremony until 6:00 p.m.
