
Paul was born on September 5, 1952, in Springfield, the son of Robert C. and Barbara A. (Price) Moriconi.
Paul attended Griffin High School for 3 years and was a 1971 graduate of Glenwood High School. For 15 years, he worked for E&F Distributing. He owned Bootleggers Tavern for 25 years, from 1986-2010. Paul enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his 1976 Harley Davidson. He was a proud member of ABATE and the NRA. He was a family man, and his sons and grandchildren were everything to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Moriconi; brother, William Dean “Dino” Moriconi; and nephew, Tyler T. Moriconi.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Moriconi of Chatham; his sons, Paul D. (Kelly) Moriconi of Springfield, Shane D. Moriconi of Chatham, and Brandon P. (Leanne) Moriconi of Chatham; mother of his children, Gilda Moriconi of Springfield; 9 grandchildren, Alyssa, Morgan, Isabella T., Sophie, Natalie, Isabella K., Alexander, Mia and Raeanna L.; six siblings, Robert Todd (Nancy), David (Vanla), Salvatore “Sam” (Nhi), Rick (Linda) Moriconi, Connie (Bobby) Houston, and Barbara J. Stokes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the visitation.
Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz officiating.
Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
