

Peyton is survived by her parents; brothers, Chandler Wescott (Jaci) of Tontitown, Arkansas, Grayson Wescott (Alyssa) of San Antonio, Texas, and Sutton Wescott of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Chynna Anderson of Chicago, Illinois; nephews, Lyndon, Camden, and Micah; and nieces, Frankie and Annabella.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Guy and Ruth Wescott of Lake Placid, New York; and maternal grandparents, Walter Koh and Evelyn Primus of Sabah, Malaysia.
Peyton attended St. Agnes Catholic School and participated in basketball, volleyball, track, Girls on the Run, and Scholastic Bowl. She was a junior at Springfield High School at the time of her passing.
Peyton was deeply loved by friends and family who saw the kindness and sensitivity behind her eyes. She was a loving, compassionate, and caring person with a beautiful smile who loved listening to music, and art painting.
In honoring Peyton’s life, her family wishes to acknowledge the importance of mental health. Behind even the brightest smiles can be unseen struggles, and it is a reminder to care deeply for one another and to seek help when needed.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S 6th St, Springfield.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos, Springfield.
Burial will be on June 20, 2025, in Lake Placid, New York.
Reception to follow immediately after funeral mass.
