Ralph Edward Anderson

Ralph Edward Anderson, 48, of Springfield, passed away at 11:50 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2001 at his residence. He was born July 12, 1952, the son of Ralph Lawrence and Joyce Smith Anderson in Melrose Park, IL. He married Christine Swenie on August 31, 1980 at St. Cornelius Church in Chicago, IL, and she survives. Mr. Anderson was a plant manager for the United States Postal Service for 23 years. He was a graduate of Northern Illinois University, a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the ELKS, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus Biship Griffin Assembly, and Knights of Columbus Council #4179. He is survived by his wife: Christine of Springfield; two sons at home: Ryan and Nathan; parents: Ralph and Joyce Anderson of Venice, FL; two brothers: James of Wichita Falls, TX and John (wife,Susan) of Berkeley, IL; his grandmother: Josephine VanName of Venice, FL; and two nieces. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 with the Rev. Robert Becker celebrant. Cremation will follow services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Resource Center of Illinois 219 Bruns Lane Springfield, IL 62702.
