Ralph James "Jim" Ward

He was born on July 1, 1941 in Springfield, the son of the late Bruce and Minnie (McCubbin) Ward. He and his wife Karen were married on June 11, 1988 in Springfield.

Mr. Ward worked as a professional estimator for the State of Illinois Capital Development Board. He was previously involved in the construction business.

Besides his wife Karen, he is survived by a daughter Susan (husband Aaron) Arnold of Springfield, a son Kevin (wife Karen) Ward of Lexington, IL, a stepson John (wife Julie) Vaughan of Longmont, CO, and a stepdaughter Tracy Hebb of Bloomington, IL; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mitchell, and Jennifer Ward, 5 step-grandchildren, and his faithful dog Spencer.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., where memorial services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11 am, with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will follow the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
