Richard B Grant

Richard “Ric” B. Grant, 58, of Springfield, IL, passed away on April 17th at home with family by his side. He was born on January 6, 1967, to Richard E and Alice Grant. He married Jodi Peebles on March 14, 1992.

Ric is survived by his wife Jodi, son Cody (Jessica Di Re) Grant, daughter Tia Delaney Grant, his mother, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, 3 nephews and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and father-in-law

Ric received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Illinois State University and proudly worked for R.P. Lumber Company as a Sales Representative for 32 years.

Ric’s biggest source of pride and joy in his life was his children. Ric was immensely proud of his children’s personal and professional achievements. He shared a love of the beach and traveling to see his kids with his wife, a love of art with his daughter, a love of superheroes with his son, and a love of animals with his daughter-in-law. Ric was a lifelong fan of the music group Oingo Boingo and the LA Dodgers.
