Richard D. Hall

He was born in Rhinelander, WI, Feb. 18, 1942 the son of Ronald H. and Minnie (Bowman) Hall. Richard proudly served in the United States Marine Corp earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal with 2 Stars, the Vietnamese Campaign Service Medal with device, the Good Conduct Medal with 2 stars, a Combat Action Ribbon, the Rifle Marksman Badge and Pistol Expert Badge. After his honorable discharge, he then served another 3 years in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Richard retired in 1999 as the Building and Grounds Director of Zion-Benton Township High School. He was a member of the Association of Energy Engineers and served as a Chapter President. He had a passion for golf, fishing and enjoyed traveling. He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church.

Richard married LaCleta Mansker in Waukegan, IL Aug. 29, 1980 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Brent (Hannah) Hall of Kenosha, WI, three grandchildren; Madison, Olivia and Logan, special “adopted” daughters, Sarah Kelly Rogenbuck of Bad Ax, MI, Angela Carlisle Hudson of Danville, VA, and Pamela Hastings Perlmutter of St. Louis, MO, his sister, Barbara Raske of Bull Head City, AZ his brother Douglas “Chuck” Hall of Rhinelander, WI and special friends, Donald and Bill Taft both of Zion, IL.

His parents, a brother-in-law, Frank Raske and sister-in-law Shirley Hall preceded him in death.

Visitation and Ceremony: The Hall family will greet family and friends at Hope Presbyterian Church 2211 Wabash Ave. Springfield, IL on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 from 9:00 am until time of ceremonies there at 10:00 am. Pastor Chuck Goodman will officiate. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Rockwood, IL
