Robert Carl Dickey

He was born on August 20, 1937 in Decatur, IL the son of the lateJesse Lee and Edna Mae (Armentrout) Dickey.

Mr. Dickey worked as a caregiver at Lincoln State School in Lincoln, IL and also worked at Clark Restaurant.

He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Barrigear of Lincoln, IL, 2 nieces, Tammy (husband Terry) Chance and Linda (husband Clyde)Turley, and 5 nephews Willis Leon (companion Debbie) Dickey, Jr, Virgil W. Barrigear, Jr., Jeffrey Dickey, Eugene (wife Jennifer) Dickey, and Randy (fiance Lona) Dickey. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends and special friend Donald Feagans III.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL 62703.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 5:30 pm at the Senior Services Center in Springfield.
