Robert Louis McCarthy, Jr.

Robert Louis McCarthy, Jr., 53, formerly of Springfield, died on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at his home in Walnut Creek, CA. Robert was born May 30, 1955 in Springfield, the son of Robert Louis and Rose Eleanor Duggan McCarthy. Robert graduated from Springfield High School. He went on to obtain his B.A. at the University of San Francisco. He was an Information Resource Manager with the law firms of Flehr Hohbach Test Albritton & Herbert, LLP and Dorsey & Whitney, LLP in San Francisco. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Robert is survived by his mother, Rose Eleanor McCarthy of Springfield; brother, Michael Sean (wife, Marilyn) McCarthy of Boulder, CO; niece, Brooke H. McCarthy of Denver, CO; nephew, Fenton H. McCarthy of Philadelphia, PA; and his cousin, E.D. (wife, Kate) McNamara of Edwardsville, IL. Cremation was accorded. Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 10:00 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1930 Barberry Dr., Springfield. Concelebrated Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Springfield with Rev. H. Thomas McDermott, C.S.C. principal celebrant.
