Robert James Medley, Sr., 65, of Springfield, died at 6:27 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. Robert was born October 1, 1939 in Springfield the son of Meril and Maxine Ethridge Medley. He married Rosemary Britz, May 7, 1977 in Springfield. Mr. Medley worked as a carpenter for many years for various construction companies. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Charles Michael “Mike” and David Medley. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of Springfield; three sons: Robert Medley, Jr. of OR, Scott Medley of FL and Jeff Medley of Springfield; three daughters: Vicki (husband, Ron) Baker of St. Joseph, MO, Paula Medley of St. Joseph, MO and Penny Lawrence of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; three sisters: Patty (husband, Jack) McDonald of Canada, Doris (husband, Mike) Kohlrus of Springfield and Sharon (husband, Dave) Painter of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Warren Brosi officiating. Burial will follow at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.
