Robert W. Neumann

He was born June 10, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Herbert H. and Eleanor C.M. (Thommen) Neumann. He married Patricia Neumann in 1993 in Las Vegas, NV and she survives.

Mr. Neumann was a self-employed welder and maintenance man.

Besides his wife Patricia, he is survived by children, Robert Jr. (wife Becky) Neumann of Belleville, IL, Lori (husband Mark) Krusza of Plainfield, IL, Daniel Neumann of Columbia, IL, Susan (Slazyk) and her husband Joe Burke of Springfield, and Stacy (Slazyk) and her husband Jesse Cramer of Ohio, a brother David (wife Margaret) Neumann of Midlothian, IL. Bob was a grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife Loretta (Goerres) Neumann, and siblings William and Herbert Neumann, and his son Joseph Neumann.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Family will receive visitors at 10:30 am with a celebration of life at 11 am on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Cherry Hills Baptist Church, 2125 Woodside Rd., Springfield, IL 62711, with Rev. Brian Schwarberg officiating.
