Robert L. Turley, Sr. 81, of Springfield, died at 3:48 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born September 5, 1922 in Riverton, the son of Homer and Margaret Radigan Turley. He married Lorine Conroy on May 7, 1947 at Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield. Mr. Turley served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the Springfield News Agency and then was self-employed as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters: Ann Burge, Oma Green, Mary Simpson, and Betty Gentile; and three brothers: Gary, Johnny and Donald Turley He is survived by his wife: Lorine (Lolly), of Springfield; two sons: Robert, Jr. (wife, JoAnne) of Springfield and David (wife, Marcy) of Lewistown; one sister: Frances (Fanny) Brown, of Springfield; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Scott Brindley officiating.
