Robert Norman Veara

Bob was born on July 23, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Norman and Maxine (Kelly) Veara. He married Sharon K. Flynn on August 26, 1961, in Springfield.

Bob graduated from Lanphier High School in 1959. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Rescue Squad. He was also a former president of the Lanphier High School Booster Club. Bob loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon Veara of Springfield; son, Kevin (Amy Denny) Veara; daughters, Kerrie (James) Bondi and Kristina (James) Lawley; grandchildren, Abby (Jeremy) Bailey, Robert (Allison) Lawley, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Bondi-Kelly, and Anna (Guillermo Miguez Ortega) Bondi; and great-grandchildren, Mia Bailey and Lily Kelly.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center, prior to services.

Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield, followed by the Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Manuel P. Cuizon officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the Animal Protective League.
