

He was born in Lincoln, IL., June 2, 1927 the son of James M. and Marie Noonan Williams. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in W.W. II. He earned the W.W. II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal.
He married Eleanor D. Tubbs, Dec. 2, 1950 and she survives. Bob is also survived by his son; Craig (wife Barbara) Williams of Springfield, his daughter; Sandy D. Jachino of Mahomet, IL. 6 grandchildren; Craig Williams II, Kurt Williams, both of Springfield, Amy Jachino, of St. Peters, MO, Nick Jachino, Bethany Williams and Charlie Williams, all of Springfield, a great grandson, Jacob Jachino, of St. Peters, MO, his brother; James Williams of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob worked at Sangamon Electric as the Manager of the Drafting department. He founded the Com Microfilm Co. in 1972 and retired from there in 1996. His son Craig and wife Barbara have continued the family business. He, his wife were members of New Life Christian Church while in Florida and Westside Christian Church in Springfield for many years previously.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, where the family will receive friends Tues. April 1, 2014 from 10:30 am until time of services there at 11:30 am Rev. Vaughn Beeman will officiate. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the United States Navy and the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
