Ronald L. Casper, 63, of Springfield, passed away on Monday July 16, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on January 6, 1955 in Springfield to Louis A. and Betty J. Rowe Casper. Ronald married Ruth Beavers on April 18, 1995 in Tampa, Florida and she survives.
Mr. Casper is also survived by one daughter Crystal (Brian) Trent of Decatur, two sons: Ronald L. Casper Jr., of Decatur and Jacob M. Casper of Ohio, his mother Betty J. Easley of Springfield and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Larry and Jimmy Casper, one sister Connie Casper, his father Louis A. Casper and his stepfather Donald Mayfield.
Ronald worked for CWLP for over nineteen years and he served as an Auxiliary Deputy with the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #55, IBEW Local 193 and the Blue Knights Sacred Heart Chapter #15.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday July 20, 2018 at Bisch Funeral home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
