Ronald Murl Cooper, 77, of Springfield, formerly of Taylorville passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1937, in Taylorville, to the late L. Murl and Thelma Starks Cooper. He was preceded in death by his step brother, Bill Crevits. Ron retired from Hurricane Fence Company where he worked as a foreman and installer, after 25 years of service. He is survived by his children: Deborah Cooper (Bobby Hall) of Springfield, Ron Cooper of MN, Steve (Shannon) Cooper of Taylorville, Sandy Roberts of Ashland, and Susan (Levi) Fitzgerald of OK; sister, Linda Beaman of Taylorville. Cremation rites were accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Private family services will be held.
