

Ronald was born on October 7, 1944, in Hillsboro, IL, the son of Duane and Norma (Phillips) Rappe. He married Mary Jo Davis in January 23, 1965, in Fairfield, IL.
Ronald was employed at the Illinois Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Knights of Columbus Hall # 4175, and the H.I.C.K.S. Fishing Club. Ronald enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He also loved the outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Martin Rappe.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Rappe; son, Scott (wife, Sherri) Rappe of Pawnee, IL; daughter, Susan Hillen of Springfield; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, with one on-the-way; sister-in-law, Mariann Rappe; one niece; and one nephew.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering & Funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
A private family burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association, Greater Midwest Affiliate Memorials and Tributes, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
