

Ronda GleeAnn Smith, 46, of Springfield, passed away at 6:55 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Ronda was born on April 27, 1970 in Springfield, the daughter of Gleason and Barbara Reed Patrick. She married Bill Smith on September 17, 2016 in Divernon. Ronda was a graduate of Tri-City High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College. She was employed as a claims processor for over 20 years with the Laborer's Union at Railroad Maintenance and Industrial. Ronda was fun, had a great sense of humor, was free-spirited, positive, helpful and caring. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed listening to country music and Kid Rock, going camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Ronda was a very generous person and would give anyone anything that she could. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edith and Ralph Reed and Emma and Frank Patrick; and father-in-law, Bud Smith. She is survived by her husband, Bill Smith of Springfield; her sons, Connor and Levi Smith of Springfield; her parents, Barbara and Gleason Patrick of Dawson; three step-children, Nick, Cody, and Kieley Smith, all of Springfield; three siblings, Tammy (husband, Tom) Beatty of Springfield, Robin (husband, Vincent) Nadalini of Auburn, and Russell (wife, Kimberle) Patrick of Riverton; mother-in-law, Theresa Smith of Springfield; sister-in-law, Theresa (husband, Preacher) Sullivan of Virden; brother-in-law, Steve Smith of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Laura (husband, Joshua) Kruse, Krista (husband, Jonas Moore) Beatty, Leslie Beatty, Michaelangelo and Aurora Nadalini, Elizabeth, Jessica, Nicole, and Grace Patrick, Dominic Pointer, Jackson Thorpe, and Lexus Pointer; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
