Rosemary R. "Rose" Barton

Rose was born in Springfield, February 22, 1954 the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Yacup) Maley who have preceded her in death. She married Kirk Barton in Rochester, IL Feb. 22, 1995 and he survives.

She is also survived by her children: Kirsti (Austin) Hardy of Kirkwood, IL, Bob (Jessica) McGown of Denver, CO, Cam McGown of Bloomington, IL, and Tiffany McCoy of Virden, IL. She has eight grandchildren: Nadia, Bella and Hudson McGown, Devin and Haley Woosley, Zoe, Sophia, and Gracelyn McCoy. Also surviving are her two brothers; Ron (Barb) Maley and George (Mary “Frankie”) Maley both of Auburn, IL. She has several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rose had a love for the holidays, especially decorating at Christmas time was a great joy to her. She loved to shop especially at the thrift shops. Her favorite season was the fall. The crisp air and beautiful colors of the trees as they changed.

Rose attended the Rochester Christian Church.

Cremation Rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory.

The family will greet family and friends Saturday, November 20th, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the Rochester Christian Church 325 S. Walnut St. Rochester, IL. Pastor Brad Ferris will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
