
Rosemary D. Ward, 77, of Springfield, died at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center. Rosemary was born January 23, 1925 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Thomas Joseph and Marcella Adele Connelly Quinn. She married John F. Ward April 22, 1950 at St. Basil’s Church in Chicago. Rosemary had worked nine years for Rock Island Railroad and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Quinn. She is survived by her husband John of Springfield; five sons: John (wife, Mary) Ward of Joliet, Michael Ward of Springfield; Thomas Ward, Patrick Ward and David (wife, Meg) Ward all of Chicago; two daughters: Mary (husband, Tom) Call of Maple Grove, MN, Denise (husband, John) Bohn of Chicago; five grandchildren: Emily, Tom, Kevin and Megan Call all of MN, Katie Bohn of Chicago; two sisters: Geraldine Long of Naperville, Elizabeth Toner of Chicago; sister-in-law: Geraldine Quinn of Chicago and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2003. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2003 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola celebrant.
