

Rosemary Agnes Williams, 72, of Springfield, died at 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at St. John’s Hospice. Rosemary was born February 25, 1932 in Chicago the daughter of Joseph Michael and Elizabeth Margaret Feil May. She married John Williams, October 18, 1969 in Chicago. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Gage Park High School in Chicago. She worked for Central Steel and Wire in Chicago and later for AT& T in Chicago where she retired in March 1972. She was a member of Elk Ladies Springfield Lodge #158, SPARC, Catholic Order of Forresters, Troop Committee Member, Boy Scout Troop 312, Bishop Griffin Assembly Ladies Auxiliary, and Special Olympics Area 17 Swimming and Skiing coach. She was preceded in death by her parents She is survived by her husband, John of Springfield; sons, Michael (wife, Laurie) Williams of Morton and Robert John Williams of Springfield; two grandchildren, Evan and Jaicie Rose Williams both of Morton; sisters, Loretta (husband, Hank) Kania of Tipton, MO, Patricia (husband, Joseph) Szalay of South Bend, IN and Sr. Jolise May, PHJC of Donaldson, IN; brothers, Joseph (wife, Dolly) May of Las Vegas, NV, Donald (wife, Evelyn) May of Mokena, and Frank May of Alsip, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St. Springfield, with Rev. Donald J. Meehling celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Area #17, 1 West Old State Capital Plaza, Myers Building, Suite 721, Springfield, IL, 62701.
