Ruth Marie Haizlip

Ruth Marie Haizlip, 89, of Springfield died at 10:35 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2004 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Ruth was born August 13, 1914 in Pawnee, the daughter of Royal Hunter and Clintie Burt White. She married Alva L. Haizlip on March 20, 1937 and he preceded her in death. Ruth was a member of Cherry Hills Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Sharron Ann Hickey, one sister: Esther Ruby and two brothers: James and Hiram White and nephew: Ken Jacobs. She is survived by her son, A.L. Haizlip of Oklahoma City, OK, son-in-law: David A. Hickey of Holland, MI, nine grandchildren: Cristin Marie Brouwer of Tulsa, OK, Ben Haizlip of Oklahoma City, OK, Sarah Turner of Oklahoma City, OK, Danette Stanko of Cinncinatti, OH, Allison White of West Palm Beach, FL, LCPL Kyle J. White of U.S. Marine Corps, Brendan Hickey of L’Anse, MI, Brian Hickey of Grand Rapids, MI and Keely Hickey of New York City, NY, two sisters: Leah Jacobs and Marjorie Thomas both of Springfield, one brother, Harwood White of Edinburg and several nieces, nephews. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Nelsen officiating. The family of Ruth Marie Haizlip is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center.
