S. Lee Parks

He was born June 6, 1932, in Taylorville, IL, the son of H.B. and Elsie Jeannette (Campbell) Parks. He married Ruth Annette Harrison in 1957 in Springfield.

Mr. Parks retired from the State of Illinois, Office of the Commissioner of Banks and Trust Companies in 1991.

He was a member and former elder and deacon of the First Christian Church, Tyrian Lodge 333 AF&AM, a former member of Consistory Valley of Springfield, a member of Ansar Shrine, and Ansar Retirees Club. He was a Past Master of Tyrian Lodge, a past President of the Ansar Shrine Chanters, a past president of the Great Lakes Shrine Chanters Association, and Treasurer of the Ansar Retirees Club, and a former board member of the Sangamon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years Ruth Parks, a son Ross (fiancé Karen Park) Parks both of Springfield, granddaughter Randi Parks of Farmington, MO, brother-in-law Ed Harrison, sister-in-law, Beverly Harrison, one niece and two nephews, all of Pekin, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Masonic Services provided by Tyrian Lodge 333 will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen St Springfield IL 62703. Burial of cremated remains will take place after the Masonic Services at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
