Sally Jo Parnell

Sally Jo Parnell, 71, of Springfield, passed peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family and friends. Sally was born December 13, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph and Sara Shay Meunieu. Sally graduated from St. Agnes Grade School and Sacred Heart Academy. She retired from CIPS. She was a member of St. Agnes Church. Sally enjoyed shopping and dining with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Meunieu; and sister, Maureen Stone. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Mark) Crawford and Ann (Michael) Hampton, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Chance, Cooper, and Grace Crawford and Taylor DeVarose; sister, Mary Ann (John) Wright of Overland Park, KS; brother-in-law, Bill Stone (Sue Zann) of Leawood, KS; sister-in-law, Shirley Meunieu of Farmer City, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield with Rev.
