Sandra K. Wilson

She was born in Springfield, October 19, 1944 the daughter of Robert L. and Effie (Roberts) Wilson. Her parents and her brother, Robert F. Wilson preceded her in death.

Sandy retired from the State of Illinois Department of Natural Resources in 2007. She was a member of AFSCME Local 1019 and volunteered with 4H for many years. She was an avid horse enthusiast and was a member of the Sangamon Valley Trail Riders. She enjoyed country music and was the president of the Andy Acree’s Country Squires Band fan club.

Surviving are her two nieces, Teresa (David) Ericson of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Velvet Bartnick of Jacksonville, IL. There are several great nieces and nephews as well as several cousins.

Visitation and Funeral Service: The family will greet friends at the Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen Springfield, IL from 10:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2016 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Rev. Charlie Carver will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
