Sarabelle Quillman

She was born June 27, 1920 in Pinckneyville the daughter of William Lee and Lena Taffee Thetford. She married Robert Dan Quillman in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.

Mrs. Quillman worked for Collins Brothers Oil Company Mt. Vernon IL as an office manager and as bookkeeper for Hoyt and Hoyt, CPA's Mt. Vernon IL and for McDaniels Furniture, Refrigeration and Heating, Pinckneyville IL.

She was a member of the Mt. Vernon IL Junior Womens Club and was an avid card player and needlepoint artist. She enjoyed sports, especially University of Illinois Football and Basketball.

She is survived by her daughter, Martie L. Blazis of Springfield; son, Dee (wife, Davida) Quillman of Birmingham, AL. and her granddaughter Amy Stark of Chicago, IL.

Cremation rites will be accorded and memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Elder Assistance Services Program, 701 W. Mason St. Springfield, IL. 62702. Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel is in charges of arrangements. (www.boardman-smith.net)
