Sarah Lynn "Lee" Hackwith

Sarah was born on July 12, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Russell Miller, Sr. and Helen (Lane) Miller. She married Lloyd Hackwith on February 14, 1970, in Springfield.

Sarah was a member of Lincoln Land Baptist Church, the VFW, and helped at the American Legion. She worked as a caregiver and she enjoyed playing Bingo, camping, fishing, riding on the back of motorcycles, traveling, and watching NASCAR. Sarah was a foodie and loved it when she had good quality food and meals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Crystal Cikas; and stepfather, Lenny DePerro.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Lloyd of Springfield; son, Kevin (Lisa) Hackwith of Loami; daughter, Tammy (Byron) Marion of Divernon; grandchildren, Troy Harbour, Jr., Denver Hackwith, Brandon Brunner, Austin Hackwith, Ashley Hackwith, and Gabe Hackwith; siblings, Sally Libbey, Sue DeGand, and Russell Miller, Jr.; and her beloved dog, Abby.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, with Rev. Glen VanderKloot officaiting. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
