

Sarah Ann Turner, 86, of Springfield, died at 7:12 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at St. John's Hospital. Sarah was born on April 23, 1928 in Gillespie, the daughter of James P. and Mary Gallagher Feeley. She married Chester Wayne Turner in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1961. Sarah was employed as a Residential Housing Manager, and then later worked at the Dana Thomas House for C.C. Thomas Publishing Company. She was employed with CIPS until her retirement. She enjoyed circle a word puzzles, playing card games, and was a life-long fan of Old Country music. She also was a big fan of Shirley Temple who was born the same day and year. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny W. Turner; three brothers, Dennis, Charles, and James Feeley; and three sisters, Mary Harvey, Isabelle Miller, and Nora Wheeler. She is survived by her daughter, Dolly (husband, John) Cripe of Springfield; two grandchildren, Deborah Ann (husband, Raymond) Pilapil and Glenn Edward (wife, Valerie) Beechler, both of Springfield; two great-granddaughters, Viviana Pilapil and Alexandra Beechler; sister, Eileen P. Feeley of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield with Rev.
