Dear Lance, Lindsay and Karon,
It is so hard to find words to express how I feel.  Sharon was a very dear friend and a big part of my life after we met as co-workers at DORS.  We helped keep each other "sane" while at work, and really enjoyed our outings together outside of work.   Sharon and I spent many "shopping trips" returning her purchases. :)  
We also spent a lot of time discussing and sharing pictures of our grand kids.  We did agree that God had given us the cutest and the best.  I have so many fond memories of our times together, and it's so hard to realize we won't be making any more memories.  I am praying for you and your families, for I know the loss of Sharon has left an even bigger hole in all of your hearts.  May the Lord give you comfort in knowing that she is at peace now and you will see her again someday.

Dear Karon and Family,
As I reminisce about one of the nicest coworkers I have ever had the pleasure of working with during my 42 years, in the work force, I consider myself as having been so fortunate.  More importantly, she was not just a coworker but a down-to-earth friend.  Our paths crossed in the late 1980's or early 1990's during my tenure with the Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs (DCCA), when Diana Stratton (Frm. Gov. Stratton's daughter or was it Sandra?) introduced me to Sharon.  Our personality clicked and we became instant friends.
On February 7, 1993, as fate would have it, I was stricken with Acute Transverse Myelitis(ATM), resulting in me becoming a paraplegia, being paralyzed from the middle of my chest(at the T-4) and down.  After spending almost five months with a team of specialist and care giver/s at the Regional Rehabilitation Center – helping to stabilize me and teaching me some day- to-day coping skills, I was finally discharged to go home, where I faced one of the most difficult challenges of my life.  Although this adversity had turned my life upside down, and medication kept me drugged up, the extraordinary support from family, and friends helped me to maintain a positive outlook about the future – that I will recuperate enough to return to the work force.           
It took me some seven years later before I felt secure enough in mind, body, and spirit to return to the work force.  I chose to join the Dept. of Human Services, in the Division of Rehabilitation Services(DORS). And as providence would have it, Sharon was now a member of the DORS' work force.  She was there to help welcome me in my reentry into the world of work (May 2000).  She and Mary Ellen Larwick helped made my return less stressful since I was now totally dependent on a manual wheelchair.  They both showed me such a sincere empathy and compassion until I dubbed them as my office aunt's and guarding angels.  They never missed an opportunity to send me a card for most occasions or try to visit when I was hospitalized, although I was too ill to receive visitors.    
I fill so grateful that she was a cherished friend.  I will miss Sharon greatly.  My farewell to her is, “Take your rest my dear friend and thanks for the empathy and being there for me”.

Dear Karon and family,

    We were so sorry to hear about Sharon's passing.  I have so many fond memories of you two crazy girls and Aunt Phyl from my childhood (and of course Aunt Elsie and Uncle "Locky" too!)  I remember walking by your house all the time (back when the old grade school was still there, and we would walk to the high school for classes). Sharon was such a trooper in life. I met her through Kathy Wozinak. When I was her hairdresser we always had great visits. Sharon was a great friend, and a wonderful mother. She will be missed by all her loved & knew her. I always think of her,when I dust a beautiful perfume bottle she gave me. Now it will hard not to tear up when I dust it. God bless you Sharon. You are our new star in the night skies. Praying for your family's loss of a great gal.

Karon, I was so sorry to read of Sharon's passing.  Sisters are VERY special people and I know you'll miss her!  She & I ran into each other several times over the past few years and she always had a smile on her face.

Sharon was the first person I met when I started working for DORS.  She took me under her wing and introduced me to everyone and showed me the ropes.  She always had pictures of her kids, and later her grandkids in her "brag book."  I'll miss her deep chuckle and friendship.  She was an outstanding person.  She now has real wings; the wings of an angel.  Hugs & prayers to you all.

Karon, I am so sorry for your loss. Sisters are VERY special people and I know you'll miss Sharon.  We ran into each other quite often over the past several years -- she always had a smile!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I worked at Rehab with her and she was a special person. Loved looking at the pictures of her and her family.

What a very kind lady. I will miss waiting on her. She was one of my favorite customers at my last job. I looked forward to her visits. She had a very caring heart.

Your mother always had a smile on her face. When we worked together she would  talk about her children and how she was always very proud of their accomplishments.
