

Shelley Denise Sullivan Larson, 53, of Springfield IL.; Treasured & Beloved Wife, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt passed away unexpectedly from this world at home November 24, 2021. Shelley was born in Hattiesburg Mississippi, was a Navy brat who traveled many places with her family and she later became an Air Force Airman, meeting her adoring husband Chris at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. They traveled together and lived several places during their military and civilian life including Florida where Shelley loved to be. Shelley always treasured their trip to London England and their many vacations to the mountains and the beach. She loved animals, music, movies, books, and she loved life. Shelley was a Blessing and a Shining Star to everyone who loved and were Blessed themselves to be in her presence. She leaves an enormous unbelievable void in the hearts of her family and friends. She is an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Hattiesburg High School & Escambia High School, Pensacola FL.
Shelley is survived by her Husband Chris Larson of Springfield IL, her Parents James & Brenda Sullivan of Collierville TN, Son Alexander (Stephanie) Larson of Springfield IL, Granddaughter Sophia Joy Larson of Springfield IL, Sisters Sonja Sullivan of Memphis TN, Stacy (Daniel) McDonald of Collierville TN, her devoted Niece Morgan McDonald of Collierville TN and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends and all of her extended family Connie (James) Brennan of Freeport IL, Eric (Brenda) Larson Of Chatham IL, Chad (Christie) Larson Of Chatham IL with Niece and Nephew Samantha and Joshua Larson.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, James & Mary O’Gwynn and Walter & Gladys Ellington of Hattiesburg MS, and her special cousins, Craig Ellington and Kristie Parker of Hattiesburg MS. And extended family James Brennan and her cherished “Grandmother” Patricia Nevenhoven both of Freeport IL.
Local services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., where visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 from 5 pm until time of the funeral service at 7 pm. Moore Funeral Chapel in Petal, MS will be in charge of services in Mississippi with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery, Petal, Mississippi on Saturday December 4, 2021.
A Memorial for Wounded Warriors will be established. Please make a donation rather than flowers.
