Shirley Jordan

Shirley was born on October 4, 1935, in Quincy, the daughter of Truman and Rosella Ellis Finney. She married her husband, Donald Jordan, on October 17, 1953, in Quincy.

Shirley worked for Memorial Medical Center in activities on 5A. After 20 years of service, she retired from Security Bank where she had been a switchboard operator. She was a member of Calvary Church.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Truman Finney; and three sisters, Margie Maddox, Janie Warner, and Nellie Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Donald of Springfield; sons, Michael (Jacki) Jordan of Tucson, AZ, David Jordan of Springfield, and Tod (Deb) Jordan of Riverton; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Edge of Springfield; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, David (Catherine) Finney of Peoria; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Ceremony: 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.

Inurnment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery Columbarium.
