Sonya was born August 16, 1980, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Byron and Susan (Fee) Shryock.
Sonya was a member of Destiny Church in Springfield. Sonya worked at SPARC in Springfield and participated at Thrive in Galesburg. She enjoyed putting together jig saw puzzles, solving word searches, going on vacations, and being with family. Most of all Sonya loved giving hugs!
Sonya is survived by her parents, Byron and Susan; brothers, Scott Shryock of Springfield and Alex (Jane) Shryock of Mt. Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 10-11:45 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home-Springfield, 800 S. Grand Ave. West, Springfield, IL 62704.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, Springfield, with Pastor Eric Hansen officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield, IL.
