Stanley Allen Weiner, age 88, passed peacefully on March 3, 2024. He was born June 17, 1935, the son of Jack H. Weiner and Sophia Dena Weiner, in Springfield, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Weiner is survived by his beloved wife, Esther Jane Weiner of Springfield, Illinois and his brother, Richard S. Weiner of New London, MO. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Liz Lupo (Tom) of Pflugerville, Texas, Trudy Ingalls (Boyd) of St. Louis, MO, Jon Weiner (Shelly) of Canton, GA, David Weiner of Chicago, Illinois and several grand nieces and nephews.
Mr. Weiner worked many years in the management of family businesses. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed fishing, but one of his greatest loves was animals, especially dogs. Stanley loved to help with rescue dogs and was a quiet contributor to many causes benefiting animals.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen Street, Springfield, Illinois. Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 9:30am to the time of the memorial service at 10:30am. Interment will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois, immediately following the memorial service.
