Steve Crouch

Steve Crouch, 51, of Springfield, died at 11:45 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2009 at his residence. Steve was born April 24, 1958 in Springfield, the son of Louis and Virginia Broderick Crouch. He married Patricia Kaye Titone on June 7, 1980 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Steve was a graduate of Springfield High School where he was All City Baseball and All City Football. He was employed at Heartland Credit Union. Steve loved to play golf and enjoyed watching baseball, football and basketball especially the Cardinals, Bears and Illini. He was a dedicated husband and father well known for having a great sense of humor. Friends describe him as an all-around good guy who got along with everyone. Steve was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Lisa. He is survived by his wife, Patti Crouch of Springfield; son Brandon Crouch of Springfield; and three brothers, David (wife, Tricia) Crouch of Springfield, Bob (wife, Nancy) Crouch of Grayslake, IL and Tom (wife, Diana) Crouch of Springfield. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield with Rev. Mark Schulte celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
