Susan Wells Klemeyer

She is survived by four sisters: Karolyn (John) Cummings of Huntley, IL., Jayne (Ray) Plantz of Ely, MN., Judith Klemeyer of Waverly, and Joanne (Luke) Guyton of Saucier, MS., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents

Susan was the Secretary to the Director of Law Enforcement for the State of Illinois for thirty five years. She was a member of the Police Benevolent Association, and a volunteer with the Animal Protective League. She enjoyed international travel and playing volleyball at the Armory. Susan was generous, humerous, and witty, and was known as Grandma Suzie by all her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed attending all of her nieces and nephews school and sports events and she cherished her beloved rat terrier rescue dog Cookie.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday April 16, 2016 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Saturday at Bisch West. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control, P.O.
