He entered this world on February 16, 1939, in Hoa Thanh, Tuy Hoa, Vietnam, born to Chau Nguyen and Dong Tran. He was married to his wife, Le Mai, for 48 years.
He is survived by his wife, Le Mai; son, Tung Nguyen; daughter-in-law, Van Nguyen; and grandson, Anh Nguyen.
Tam was a mathematics teacher from 1962 to 2008.
A private memorial ceremony was held on May 11, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL 62629.
