Tammy A. Scroggins

Tammy A. Scroggins, 41, of Springfield, passed away at 6:54 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at St. John’s Hospital ER. Tammy was born July 8, 1960 the daughter of Reverend Wendell O. and Thelma Douthit Smith in Springfield. Ms. Scroggins was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and two nephews. She is survived by her father: Reverend Wendell O. Smith of Springfield; one son Kris Scroggins of Springfield; one grandson: Bradley Scroggins of Springfield; six sisters: June (husband, Jim) Powell of Springfield, Barb (husband, Joe) Phillips of Chatham, Jeannie Layman of Springfield, Wendy Miller of Springfield, Donna (husband, Gary) Dunbar of Chatham, Elaine Page of Crawfordsville, IN; four brothers: Wayne (wife, Linda) Smith of Grand Rapids, MI, Mike (wife, Sherrie) Smith of Springfield, Phillip (wife, Sherry) Smith of Springfield, Steve Smith of Springfield; ex-husband, Donald Scroggins of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2001. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2001 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Wendell O. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery in Cartwright Township, IL.
