Tera Hudgins

Tera Hudgins, 44, of Springfield, died on Monday, March 18, 2019, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Tera was born on January 28, 1975, in Springfield, the daughter of Rodger Dale and Debbie Carla Rowden Hudgins. Tera graduated from A.C. Central High School in Ashland, class of 1993. She earned an associates degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She worked for the Secretary of State in various departments for over 12 years. Tera enjoyed doing for others and was passionate about helping the homeless in the area. She enjoyed flowers, loved Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, antiquing, and collecting pieces made from reclaimed wood. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Opal and Walter Blakeman, Carl Rowden, and Helen Ring Holmes. She is survived by her parents, Debbie (Jesse Ellison) Hudgins and Rodger (Lynn) Hudgins, all of Springfield; fianc, Brian Nolting of Springfield; daughter, Ruby A. Hupp of Springfield; siblings, Bobby (Shanon) Hudgins of Raymond and Derick Hudgins of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Butler Funeral HomeSpringfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Butler Funeral HomeSpringfield with Rev. Keith Maston officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
