Terry L. Tisdale

Terry L. Tisdale, 77, of Springfield, passed away at 12:21 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Terry was born August 3, 1937 in Peoria, a son of Ernest and LaVonne Wintersteen Tisdale. He married Sue Ann Wurster on October 25, 1958 in East Peoria. Terry was a graduate of East Peoria High School, later attending Bradley University. He owned and operated HAT Construction Company. He was also a board member at SPARC, as well as a Rail Golf Club Member. Terry was a jokester who enjoyed golfing, going to auctions, playing cards, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Sue Tisdale of Springfield; two sons, Eric Tisdale of Lincoln and Mike (wife, Robin) Tisdale of Springfield; one daughter, Ann Poole of Charleston, SC; five grandsons, Stephen (wife, Lesly) Tisdale, Ron (wife, Lauren) Tisdale, Mike (wife, Dina) Tisdale, Trey Poole, and Ryan Poole; five great-grandchildren, Elena, Stephen, Scotty, Samantha, and Emma; one brother, Lahne (wife, Linda) Tisdale of Springfield; one sister, Karen (husband, Bobby) Fowler of Jasper, GA; and a few nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. The funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Grant Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
