

Terry L. Williams, Sr., 62, of Springfield, died at 4:31 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at his home. Terry was born on October 28, 1954 in Springfield, the son of Herman I. and Dorothy O. Groth Williams. He married Sharon S. Tutt on June 12, 1976 in Springfield. Terry owned The Best of Recycling artwork company, and previously worked as a roofer. He started the Alley Cats Wii Bowling Club at Park Towers and enjoyed making jewelry and metal yard art pieces, and numerous other artwork items from various mediums. Terry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite teams, including the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Illini Basketball, Green Bay Packers, and Rochester Football. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife, Sharon S. Williams of Springfield; children, Thomas (Melinda) Williams of Rochester, Terry (Nikki Moffitt) Williams, Jr. of Springfield, Cassie Kauling of Pleasant Plains, Catrina Williams of Sparland, and Dink; eight grandchildren, Donny, Shelby, Tommy, Isabella, Brieanna, Noah, Lexi, Nickalas, and one grandson on the way; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Jordan; siblings, Ted, Tammy, Tim, Candy, and Misty; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield, until the time of the funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park following the ceremonies.
