Tessie M. Owdom

Tessie M. Owdom, 84, of Springfield, passed away at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2003 at St. John’s Hospital. Tessie was born April 19, 1918 in Toluca, IL the daughter of Alex and Nancy Contasti Alexander. She married Lowell M. Owdom April 19, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; he preceded her in death May 13, 1999. Tessie was employed by the State of Illinois, Department of Revenue and Franklin Life Insurance Company. She was a longstanding member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter: Autry Pritchett; three brothers: Nicholas, Michael, and James Alexander and two sisters: Mary Cervellone and Lillian Boelling. She is survived by her daughter: Mary Jane Pritchett of Scottsdale, AZ; one sister: Anne M. Alexander of Springfield; one brother; William C. Alexander of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2003. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P.
