

Thomas Richard Maskey, 82, of Springfield, passed away at 4:38 p.m, April 10, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Maskey was born July 14, 1918 the son of John and Mildred Perokovich Maskey in Livingston, IL. He married Margery Hardy July 27, 1946 in Livingston. He worked as a meat cutter for Eisner Food Stores. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. He was also a volunteer for the Election Commission. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Joseph and John Maskey. He is survived by his wife: Margery of Springfield; three sons: Thomas (wife, Pamela) Maskey, Jr., of Fairfax, VA, Mark (wife, Cynthia) Maskey, David (wife, Taffy) Maskey both of Springfield; two daughters: Kathleen Maskey, Rebecca Maskey both of Chicago; five sisters: Catherine Bryant, Mary Fox, Barbara Stevens, Norma Maskey all of Springfield, Mildred Caldieraro of Staunton, and seven grandchildren. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2001. Funeral services will be at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001 with Reverend Patrick Render CSV officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62702.
