Thomas G. Sallee

He was born January 15, 1929 in Springfield, the son of Gordon and C. Louise Abbott Sallee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister June Sallee.

Mr. Sallee graduated from Lamphier High School in 1947 and from Western Illinois University in 1951. He began his teaching career in 1951 at Ridgley Elementary School and also taught at Washington Middle School and Lanphier High School retireing in 1984.

He was a member of First Christian Church, was a Life Member of the Y.M.C.A. and was a volunteer at the Animal Protective League.

He is survived by two sisters, Eileen Hahn of Springfield and Frances Stone of Carlinville; nieces, Janice(husband, Jack) Blazis of Springfield and Barbara (husband, Bob) Roose of Omaha, NE. and many other nieces , nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel where friends may call Wednesday Dec. 3, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the time of services there at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rick Irwin officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
