Tom Walker

Tom Walker, 56, of Loami, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at his residence. Tom was born November 13, 1959 in Springfield, the son of Winthrop K. and Lois Marie Huckeby Walker. Tom was a graduate of New Berlin High School in the class of 1977. Tom worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Springfield Mass Transit. He was also self-employed, working on the family farm handling livestock. He enjoyed running in the demolition derbies and loved working on cars. He was a devoted father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by three children, Shawn "Tommy" Walker of Springfield, Rachel (Corey) Hart of Chesterfield, and Keith Henning of Berlin; five grandchildren, Tanner, Tyler, Heaven, Randy, and Elijah; his father, Winthrop "Winn" (Edith) Walker of Springfield; three brothers, Wynn Walker of Curran, Dave (Colleen) Walker of Loami, and Mike (Janine) Walker of Springfield; one sister, Nancy (Donald) MacBeth of Springfield; his ex-wife, Sharon Hayden; one aunt; one uncle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
