Trevor Allen Scattergood, 22, of Riverton, passed away at 7:02 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at his residence. Trevor was born January 14, 1988 in Springfield, the son of Ken and Veronica Coy Scattergood. Trevor graduated from Riverton High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College. He was a member of Local Laborer Union 477 and worked in construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son, Hunter. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and golfing. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Sebring. He is survived by his dad, Ken Scattergood (wife, Robbi) of Riverton; his mother, Veronica "Ronnie" (husband, Kelly) Gillette of Springfield; his son, Hunter Scattergood of Springfield; grandparents, Barbara and Eugene Scattergood of Dawson, Joyce Sebring of Springfield and Dennis Coy of FL; and a brother, Zachary Scattergood of Mifflintown, PA. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Coy officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
