Velma Foster

She was born June 7, 1911 in Cambridge, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Clara Sprouse England. She married Gilbert K. Foster and he preceded her in death in 1974. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Miller in 1985.

Mrs. Foster worked for many years at Blalocks until it closed and then she went to work at Northside Variety for several years. She was a longtime member of Third Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Bobbi (Samuel) Phelps of Richmond, TX, Brad (Lori) Miller of Martinsville, MO, and Terri Boyd (Stephen, deceased) of Belton, MO; six great grandchildren, Robert and Shelby Parker, Tiffany Davidson, Stephen Boyd, II, Robert and Shayley Miller; three great great grandchildren, Hailee, Payton, and Rielee; and son-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Miller of Trinity, TX.

Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 2 from 11 AM until the funeral at 12 PM at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Rev. Brent Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
