Ms. Howe is survived by two sons: Michael E. Willhite of Springfield and Donald R. Willhite of Auburn, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one sister Sandra Clifford. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Pamela Sue Willhite and Bobbi Jo Roth, one brother Robert L. Carnduff and her beloved shih tzu Jonsey.
Velma was a home care caregiver who enjoyed interior and exterior painting. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and an animal lover.
Cremation rites were accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
